Project Coordinator

We are seeking a detail-oriented project coordinator who knows how to effectively strategize a plan, direct and monitor projects, and lead their team to success. You will be the primary contact for project team member inquiries, ensure adherence to set timelines and budgets, and frequently produce progress reports for the management of a large grant. Organized, experienced candidates with strong interpersonal skills and writing skills are encouraged to apply. This part time position is funded for 3 years through a grant from the Healthier Wisconsin Partnership Program to facilitate improvement in the medical response to sex trafficking in Milwaukee.

 

Job duties and responsibilities

  • Assist steering committee in administrative functions and processes

  • Facilitate development of project plans and manage them from inception to completion

  • Monitor all moving parts of the project keeping them synchronized and moving forward

  • Prepare, organize, and distribute all necessary project material

  • Attend all project meetings, take notes and distribute minutes of each meeting

  • Maintain and update budgets with the Convergence Resource Center financial team as project progresses

  • Communicate pertinent information between team members, including scheduling meetings and creating agendas

  • Advise steering committee on adherence to set budgets and project schedule

  • Set goals, provide motivation, and thoroughly support your project team members

  • Collaborate on project presentations

  • Analyze project data and produce progress reports in collaboration with the steering committee as required for continuation of grant funding

  • Foster positive and productive relationships among team members

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, web-based applications

  • Extremely organized

  • Excellent communications skills both oral and written

  • Ability to motivate and keep project team on task

  • Exhibit initiative and ingenuity, taking ownership of tasks 

  • Demonstrate respect and commitment to the values of diversity and equity, seeking to incorporate diverse perspectives into decision making

  • Exhibit confidentiality, honesty, and actions that build trust and strengthen relationships

Specifications

Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on equivalent basis

Minimum Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred Experience: 

  • Experience with grant-funded program coordination or a similar management role preferred

  • Experience and knowledge of systems effecting vulnerable populations is preferred

Preferred Education: Project Management

 

Classification

Position description: Part-time (20hrs/wk)

Workweek: Part-time role with expectations that most activities will occur during core business hours and flexibility required as necessary to accommodate project needs
